Eyes Within the Box

Eyes Within the Box is a strategy squad-base survival horror game with procedurally evolving narrative, where you control a squad of mercenaries hired to guard a container they know nothing about, for a full day, until the extraction team arrives and relieves them.

You will need to use all of your skills to survive once things inevitably get out of control.

Exchange 

Exchange and exchanging plays a mayor role not only in the Lovecraftian story but on the gameplay loop.

Position Exchange

You would have to exchange the position of your soldiers often, since situations develop in different perimeters each turn of the game.  Each member of the squad have different habilities that serve each situation  in unique ways.

As you enchange soldiers more backstory is reveal to you. Depending on the position of your soldiers events will play out in different ways.

Ammo Exchange

Lack of ammo and resources will play a mayor role on the combat. You will need to order that your soldiers look for and exchange ammunition for them to maintain combat efficiency.

Gameplay Exchange

The game exchanges gameplay styles constantly, from a visual novel or text based adventure, to a Camera Mode similar to FNAF to an RPG Persona-Inspired Combat System.

Exchange of Codes

There are codes given to the player at the beginning of the game. The player have to exchange the codes with the rescue team to check on their identity. You will have to make decisions based on this information. This can lead to one of 4 different endings.

This game is narrative heavy, even in the middle of combat so better stay away if you are afraid of doing some reading.

Meet the squad. Each one has a job to do. Yours is to make sure they do it at the right moment, and remain alive after.

Demolition Expert: Henryk 

Use him to clear explosive traps and send devastating firepower on the exterior perimeter with his grenade launcher. On close spaces, he can make use of his signature shotgun.

Doctor: Jörg

He is the one that will be taking care of the squad members if, or better say when they get injured. Is competent in a fight, but I would not count on him to kill the bigger threats.

Engineer: Sophia

Drones, Cameras, Electricity. Say it and she will fix it. While she is at it, it may hack into a computer or two and maybe find out a little bit too much for her own safety.

Ranger:  Aleksei

He is here to clear any area of hostile forces, in any way that is needed. The oldest member of the squad after Henryk, has seen countless battles; so he has the mental and physical strength to survive this. With your help, of course.

Sniper: Camilla

Long distance fire support. They will never see her coming. She hates Jörg so better not need for him to heal her. Things may get ugly.
